Robert Eagling, PhD,is a graduate of Newcastle University, England (both degree and PhD) and brings toChemover 18 years of experience in chemistry publishing, which includes journals, book commissioning and the organization of high profile conferences such as the International Symposium on Advancing the Chemical Sciences (ISACS). He came to Cell Press from the Royal Society for Chemistry, where he helped grow submissions, readership and overall impact factors ofChemical Society Reviews and Chemical Communicationsand led the launch ofChemical Science. Since 2015, he has been the inaugural Editor-in-Chief of Chem, the first physical science journal to be launched by Cell Press and, sister journal to Cell. In just four years, Chem has made a big impact on the chemistry publishing scene, being awarded the Prose award for excellence in physical science publishing and receiving a first impact factor of 18.2, second only to Nature Chemistry.

  

The presentation will focus on an introduction to Cell Press, followed by a focus on Chem, including why Chem was launched, and how it has evolved since the first issue in July 2016. I will move on toshowcase successes and future developments as well as introduce other new titles launched or nearing launch at Cell Press. Finally, I will finish by provide some tips on how to improve your chances of getting published in high impact journals.
