The interface reactions between radionuclides and natural minerals, organic matters as well as microorgani**s in the aquatic environment significantly influence their chemical speciation, migration, transformation and ecotoxicity. In view of this, our research interests focus on revealing the environmental behaviors and fate of radionuclides from the following aspects: (1) clarifying the competitive sorption mechani**s and selective orders of radionuclides from the molecular level by using the combination of X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS), time-resolved laser-induced fluorescence spectrometry (TRLFS), solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) technique and theoretical calculation; (2) investigating the synergistic effect of natural minerals, humic substances and microorgani**s on the reduction behaviors of redox-sensitive radionuclides and seeking cost-effective technology and reactive materials for groundwater remediation; (3) evaluating the thermodynamic stability of solidified radionuclides in complicate environmental media and providing theoretical and experimental parameters for the safe disposal of nuclear waste; (4) exploring the spatial and temporal distribution regularities of radionuclides in the macro-ecological and environmental large-scale systems.
