Research Interests:

My research interests mainly focus on (1) Development of smart probes for specific detection of disease-related enzymes; (2) Developing multifunctional probes for multimodal imaging and theragnosis; (3) Design, high-throughput synthesis and screening of drug candidates.

Research Experience and Accomplishments:

Professor Shi is currently working in School of Radiation Medicine and Protection. He received his B.Sc. from Yanbei Normal University (China) in 2003 and M.S. from Soochow University (China) in 2006. He completed his Ph D study in National University of Singapore (NUS) from 2006 to 2011. His PhD research involved bioorganic chemistry and design of small molecule probes for biological application, working under the supervision of Prof. Yao Shao Qin. After graduation, he worked in Prof Liu Bins lab (NUS) for one year as research associate. He then carried out his post-doctoral research at Stanford University (USA) under the supervision of Prof. Rao Jianghong from 2012 to 2014. To date, he has published total 22 decent papers in top journals (JACS, Angew. Chem., Chem. Commun etc). He was the first author on 13 of them. Total citation time is around 450.
